Recipient comments about the scholarship:
Emma Vanderpool MC17 says: "
I
applied for this scholarship because Matt Katsenes ’04, my high school Latin teacher, encouraged me to apply and to continue my studies in the Classics into the college level. I have not regretted that decision. Studying Latin at Monmouth is such a unique and wonderful opportunity. The small class sizes and close professor-student relationships truly allow students to grow and develop."
Tim Morris MC15 says:
"The Latin Directed Readings courses that you can take to fulfill the requirements of the scholarship are so fun that its like getting free money!"
Mark Shoemaker MC'09
says:
"The Latin performance scholarship has given me two things.  The first is that it has introduced me into an interesting class that I enjoy very much, Latin Directed Readings.  The other thing that the Latin Performance Scholarship has given me is more peace of mind pertaining to my financial aid.  Thus the Latin Performance Scholarship has made my life here at Monmouth College a little bit more interesting and enjoyable."
