Seeking Latin Tutors to Join our Elite Team

Nurturing Wisdom is an industry leader in providing one-on-one, in-home tutoring services throughout Chicagoland.  We're hiring dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve academic success.  The following positions are available:

LATIN tutors (preferably those who are also interested in tutoring verbal subjects, such as ACT, English, Reading, and Study Skills)

·         Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)

The Latin teacher at Decatur Classical School (West Rogers Park, Chicago) is looking for a substitute for two months when she will be on maternity leave (ca. April and May).  Someone who knows Latin, and either has a degree in education or is certified as a substitute teacher in the Chicago Public Schools, is encouraged to contact Nava Cohen at nava.cohen@yahoo.com (Of course, someone certified to teach Latin would fit the bill.)

Monmouth College, a liberal arts college and member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest, announces a one-year full-time position in Classics for the academic year 2010-2011. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses in Classics, Latin and Greek, including classical archaeology, elementary Latin, and archaeological lab work in the college’s collection of native American artifacts and the Shields Collection of Arts and Antiquities (total 24 semester hours). Position requires a completed Ph.D. or A.B.D. status by August 2010 and evidence of teaching excellence.
