This short academic trip to Spain, will focus on ancient Roman and artistic sites. You can take the trip (for audit or credit) by registering for CLAS290 for 1 or 2 credits. See Professor Sienkewicz for details about assignments.
Cost: $2425 (subject to change)
Price includes roundtrip airfare from Chicago to Barcelona and Madrid to Chicago, eight nights in a hotel, one night on a sleeper coach, breakfasts, one group dinner, museum admissions and airport transfers.
The trip is designed especially for students interested in the history and archaeology of Roman Spain, but all are welcome. Included on the itinerary are Sagrada Familia, the archaeological museum and Roman archaeological sites in Barcelona; the Roman Theater and Amphitheater in Tarragona; Alhambra Palace and the Generalife in Granada; Mezquita and the archaeological museum in Córdoba; Roman Theater and Circo in Mérida; Royal Palace, the Prado Museum and the archaeological museum in Madrid.
